I'm looking at switching to an ILF bow next time I go to upgrade (probably early next year).
So my main questions are:
- How do you determine overall length given a riser size in inches and a limb size of small/medium/large?
- Do most risers of 'atypical' size (I'm told most ILF limbs are rated for 25' risers) indicate what adjustment to make for draw weight?
Dt1963, yes, but you are stuck with that bow, tiller, and limb. In less than 5 minutes, you can have a bow 3-4 lbs heaver, or 3-4 lbs lighter, adjust tiller.m with your setup, you would have to buy 4 or 5 bows. With the ilf, just one. And as for the fit, well, olympic archers shoot the best sponsored money can buy.
My draw length is 24', and due to that in combination with my height, I'm not really comfortable with a bow longer than my current 62'. Recreational barebow recurve shooter.
I'm mostly drooling over Dryad Bows, because they're just so damn pretty. Probably just a riser from them, and then something a little less expensive for the limbs (my draw weight is still pretty low, and I expect to go up gradually). I like the look and feel of wooden risers in general.
Discussion & reviews of Dryad bows are welcome, if you have such information, but my main concerns are the questions above.
